Morrison-Draper
Over the last decade, the community, led by The Regional Group, has transformed, with updating, renovation and the introduction of a home ownership program on 660 units. The site of Morrison-Draper marks the last phase of the transformation. It is presently occupied by seven 40-year-old buildings of grouped row housing comprising a total of 84 units and is serviced by surface car parking. The new plan sees the construction of a planned phased development which will include four (4) high-rise towers and two low-rise unique buildings fronting on Draper Avenue. The plans are to enhance the sense of community by creating and maintaining places with their own distinct identity, defining public and private spaces through development, creating places that are safe and accessible, and understanding and respecting the natural processes and features promoting environment sustainability in the development. The buildings will be set well back from the street to ensure retention of existing trees and are designed to complement each other.
